Christmas Engagement Session in Savannah GA

Sofie and Nathan got engaged last year at the pirates house in savannah and in that afternoon they walked around historic savannah and stopped at the big tree on Broughton street! They originally wanted photos at Forsyth Park but since savannah has so many photo locations, I asked them if they have anything important they'd like to incorporate in their session! The tree on Broughton and Bull St. was something they really wanted photos at so we did what I call a storytelling session!

Just like their engagement, we walked around downtown and the photos really felt just like their engagement! The Christmas decorations, wandering around Savannah feeling like they were the only two in the city! We did morning golden hour instead of evening for a few reasons: its much less crowded in the morning, and its not as hot and humid! We walked from the Forsyth park tennis courts straight to Broughton and on the way back to Forsyth we stopped at each square for photos!

Sofie and Nathan booked our session a while ago when they were planning their trip to Savannah! They wanted a Savannah photographer who could make them look natural and comfortable in front of the camera and they did so good! I had Sofie send me photo inspo so I could make sure she gets exactly what she wanted and she actually went to my instagram and sent me some of my passed sessions that had tons of motion blur & candid photos so I knew EXACTLY how to go about our session!

This was actually my first Christmas season here in savannah and I had no idea the city was decorated so cute so I'll definitely be doing more Christmas sessions around downtown! We all had so much fun & I can't wait for more storytelling sessions!!
